WINGATE (INDIANA) MUNICIPAL WATER UTILITY SCHEDULE OF RATES AND CHARGES

Section (1) Rates and Charges for Metered Users:

(a)  The water rates and charges shall be based on the quantity of water used on or in the property or premises as measured by the water meter there in use.

Next      5,000 gallons                                   $4.93

*Customers with standing structures on individual property whose meters are shut off shall pay one-half the minimum monthly charge.

Apartment Complex

Flat Fee - per rental unit, laundry, maintenance room, and office - per month  (Based on 2000 gallons)   $41.22

Payments received after the bill due date will incur a 10% penalty on all unpaid balances.

(b)           Water Tap on Fee: Residential tap - $500.00 Commercial tap - $1,000.00

(c)           Customer Deposit - $75.00

If the deposit applies to a customer with both water and sewer service, then the customer shall pay only one deposit fee. If the deposit is for a rental unit, a $75 deposit shall be collected from both the renter and the landlord.

(d)           Reconnect Fee:  During normal business hours - $75.

Plus additional charge during nights, weekends, and holidays - $75

(e)           Non-Sufficient Funds Fee - $27.50

If the non-sufficient funds apply to a bill that includes both water and sewer, then the customer shall pay only one NSF fee.
