Sanitation - Solid Waste Collection
The Town of Wingate contracts for trash collection with T & S Trash Service, an outside waste management company.
The charge for trash collection is included in the monthly utility bill. Each household is provided with a 96-gallon automated side-load trash container. Trash is collected on Monday each week. According to the agreement with T & S, all trash must be contained in the 96-gallon trash can. T & S will not accept garbage placed outside of the can. Monday- Friday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
Saturday 7:30 am-Noon
Sunday Closed
The following items CAN NOT be accepted at the Transfer Station:
- -hazardous, toxic, or flammable substances
- -yard waste
- -animal carcasses
They will accept old car tires for an additional $12/tire or if the sidewalls are cut out for no additional charge. If you need to dispose of the above-listed items, contact T&S Trash Service at 765-866-0372 for proper disposal information.
